The great YouTube streaming by Google has come up with a new update that will allow its users to change their name and channel without affecting their original Google account.
The new update is expected to provide more flexibility for creators who may choose to send emails under their real name instead of their channel name.
However, this also comes back to the creators with the verification badge as they will lose their check mark if they change their name. Verge reported that creators will have to apply for the badge again.
According to an official YouTube statement received by The Verge, this feature is the result of a ‘top request from creators’. The update, released today, applies to personal and product accounts.
