Aimed at keeping the customer’s online experience secure, Airtel Xstream Fiber has introduced its user’s ‘Secure Internet’, a tool that provides real-time protection against malware on all connected devices.
In a statement, Airtel said Indian customers spend more time online on Work from Home, commerce, and entertainment as a result of this becoming more vulnerable to cyber threats.
About 59% of Indian adults became victims of cyber crime last year, according to the sixth annual report of Norton Cyber Safety Insights.
“To address these major challenges facing its customers, Airtel Xstream Fiber has introduced a suitable online service – ‘Secure Internet’,” it said.
Online classes and e-Learning for children have brought the need to filter out bright online content, in addition.
This service is available to all Airtel Xstream Fiber customers, with a monthly subscription of ₹ 99.
What is a ‘Safe Internet’ service?
The online service prevents malware (including viruses), high-risk websites, and real-time applications, by installing Airtel network security tools on all devices connected to Airtel Xstream Fiber, via ‘Wi-Fi’.
Secure Internet ‘offers secure solutions to a wide range of customer needs, from remote operations to online classes, it said.
With its child safety and learning strategies, customers can block websites and applications with unwanted, adult, or explicit content, providing protection from online threats.
