Redmi K40, K40 Pro and Mi 11x, Mi 11x Pro to launch in India

While Xiaomi is about to launch its flagship Mi 11 in India, leaked internal code suggests that the newly launched Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro will be launched as the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro in the country. Internal code was spotted by XDA Developers member and tipster Kacper Skrzypek who posted on Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that the Redmi K40 will be introduced as the Poco F3. Internal code brightness reveals a device with model number M2012K11AI called “aliothin”. The appendix “to” used in the code name suggests that the phone be introduced in India. Similarly, the Redmi K40 Pro will be renamed the Mi 11X Pro in India. This code also refers to a third device with the code name “haydn_pro_global” which will be the newest version of the Redmi K40 Pro +. It may be called Mi 11i and will not be introduced in India.

Xiaomi introduces redesigned phones in India is nothing new. Earlier this year, the Chinese smartphone maker introduced the Mi 10i, which is the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Xiaomi has not announced any of these calls yet in India or around the world.

The Redmi K40 series was launched in China last month. Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro + start at Rs 22,300 (approximately), Rs 31,200 and Rs 41,300 respectively. All three devices play a 6.67-inch AMOLED E4 TrueTone display developed by Samsung. It has full HD + resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz optical touch rate. It also has HDR 10+ and high brightness up to 1,300 numbers.

While the Redmi K40 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, the various Pro models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 888 flagship processor. On the back, the Redmi K40 has a set of three cameras and a 48MP main camera while the Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40M Pro + X and X-6 and 108MP Samsung HM2 sensors respectively.

All three phones come with a 20MP front snapper. They play 4,520 mAh battery with 33W fast charging games and run on Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12 on top.
