MediaTek introduces Dipension 700 5G chip in India

MediaTek on Wednesday announced the launch of the Dimension 700 5G smartphone chipset in India. The company also announced that Realme will be the first smartphone product to offer the latest chipset.

As the name implies, the Dimension 700 5G comes with 5G capabilities. Another highlight of the new system is improved camera performance and energy efficiency. The chipset comes with features, such as 5G Carrier Aggregation (2CC 5G-CA) and Dual 5G SIM as well as special 5G Voice over New Radio (VoNR) services. The 7nm chip also has two Arm Cortex-A76 ‘Big’ cores on its octa-core CPU at 2.2GHz and 5G-CA (2CC) speeds. MediaTek claims that the CPU delivers more than 30% of high-density coverage and allows seamless switching between two 5G network locations.

700 5G size also brings full HD + support and 90Hz refresh rate. By taking pictures, it supports up to 64 megapixels and AI-driven features such as bokeh, color, and beauty as well as real-time bokeh in image preview. It also has face detection. Also notable is the support of voice assistants from global brands.

Depending on the specific details, the new MediaTek chip includes LPDDR4x memory, UFS 2.2 storage type, Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU (950Mhz max GPU frequency), 2K @ 30FPS video playback, and H.264, H .265 / HEVC video encoding. Connection options are 5G, 4G CA, NavIC, GPS, Wi-Fi 5 (a / b / g / n / ac), and Bluetooth 5.1.
