Xiaomi held a launch event in China on Monday. The Chinese company has unveiled several smartphones in the Mi 11 series. However, Xiaomi has introduced a new Mi Band 6 that comes with greater improvements, compared to the previous generation Mi Band 5.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 comes with a larger screen and comes with some additional features. Mi Band 6 has only been released in China, so far. However, with the passing of last year’s lineup, Xiaomi is likely to launch Mi Band 6 in India in the second half of next year.
Price for Xiaomi Mi Band
Mi Band 6 has been introduced in two genres in China. The standard variant other than NFC sold at a price on CNY 229 translating to around cishe 2,500. The most expensive NFC variant will be priced at CNY 279, which translates to ₹ 3,100 in Indian currency. The launch price in India may differ from our Chinese counterparts. In China, the watch will go on sale this week from April 2.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 comes with one big improvement in screen size. Compared to the previous generation of Mi Band, the new exercise band comes with a 50% larger screen. The Mi Band 6 comes with a 1.56-inch AMOLED screen. By comparison, the Mi Band 5 features a 1.1-inch screen. The new screen size is about the same as most watches. The screen gets a pixel density of 326ppi. The screen can also access light levels of 450 numbers.
The band comes with a 125mAh battery which Xiaomi says can provide 14 days of battery life. The company also said the group would experience water resistance of up to 50m depth. Depending on the connection, the band receives Bluetooth 5.0.
Following a health track record, the strength band provides blood pressure, blood oxygen (SPO2) and heart rate sensor.
