Apple WWDC 2021: How to live a streaming event, which you can expect

In just a few hours, Apple will launch the 2021. Global Developer Conference (WWDC). During the event, Apple will unveil the latest developments in iOS, iPad, tvOS, WatchOS, and macOS. Additionally, Apple may also disclose other metals.

Event time

The event will start at 10 a.m. PDT on June 7 (10:30 PM IST). The event will be very visible due to the ongoing epidemic. This will be the second time Apple has treated WWDC almost.

How to broadcast a live event

Apple has already launched an event link on YouTube. On the page, interested viewers can set reminders or mark the event link. Apple’s developer conference can also be broadcast live from the company’s official website for the event.

On the company’s official page about the event, Apple said the stream is best available on iPhone 7 or later, iPad (5th generation or later), or iPod touch (7th generation) using Safari on iOS 12 or later; or Mac is using Safari on macOS Mojave 10.14 or later.

To broadcast the event on TV, the user needs Apple TV (2nd generation or later) or AirPlay 2 – a capable device with the latest Apple TV software. Some platforms may be able to access streaming using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. However, it will require MSE, H.264, and AAC.

Apple has also launched the ‘Digital Lounges’, a space built for engineers to work with Apple engineers. Within these ‘lounges’ engineers will answer questions and perform special tasks throughout the week. However, developers will need to register before work.

With iOS 15, the company plans to advance the privacy agenda by reducing application limitations. To make things easier, Apple is expected to launch a new control panel that provides in-depth information on what data is collected through a third-party application installed on a user’s device. Apple, earlier this year, also took the bold step of giving users control over apps that track their behavior in ads.

IOS and iPadOS software is expected to gain the ability to set the status, at times when the user is driving, sleeping, working, or just setting up the DND. The update will also offer more auto-response options. Apple will also make changes to iMessage to compete with online chat programs.

Apple plans to launch changes to the iPad home screen with support for widgets, recently introduced on iOS. Following the launch of macOS Big Sur, Apple is expected to make additional updates within the app.

Computer hardware

While WWDC is about software updates across all Apple platforms, the company is also expected to unveil new hardware. The company is expected to launch new MacBook Pros with new chip-based chipsets.

14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros: The Cupertino giant is expected to unveil new 14-inch and 16-inch models that will feature powerful chipsets based on ARM. The chipsets will be much more powerful compared to the M1 chip launched last year by MacBook Air. The chipset is expected to be named M1X.
