First reported by MacRumours, the company said Apple saw “strong demand” for Mac during the epidemic and after the release of its new Macbook M1.
The iPhone maker enjoyed great success during 2021, reporting some of the best numbers for its many devices. The company is also expected to launch new versions of its Macbook Pro, with 14-inch and 16-inch screens, and using its new in-house chipsets. The Apple M1 chip is also due to be updated this year and the report says at least one Mac provider will increase the demand for demand.
Apple said last year it would look to completely switch to its in-house chips over the next two years, completely discarding Intel chips. In 2020, the company introduced the Macbook Air, Macbook Pro and Mac Mini based on the new M1 chip. It is expected to add a large Mac and possibly other devices running on the chip this year.
Earlier reports said the company would begin mass production of the new MacBook based on the M1 chip in the second half of the year. It is unclear whether the new MacBooks will affect the October timeline, or whether the company will announce it earlier.
Well-known Apple analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, has said that the new Macbook Pro models will have brighter lighting and mini-LED lighting. Devices are also expected to have a new design, HDMI port, SD card reader and MagSafe charging port. The company will also end up with the OLED Touch Bar, which it has been putting on its Macbook Pro models for a few years now.
