Innovations

The News and Interests feature is now available in other languages
Microsoft has heard insider reviews about the “News and Interests” widget on the taskbar. From now on, it is available for more languages and countries. This means that now the news, weather forecast, sports and finance news will depend on your location. Previously, the feature was only available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India.

The News and Interests widget will automatically detect your language and location to provide localized content from local publishers and data providers.
The feature is currently not available for users in China. Microsoft is working in this direction.

We remind you that the “News and Interests” widget is gradually spreading among users, which means that the feature is not yet available to all insiders on the Dev channel.

New Microsoft Edge Replaces Microsoft Edge Legacy

Starting with the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21313, Microsoft Edge Legacy will be replaced by the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge. And so it will be with all future insider builds of Windows 10.
The new Microsoft Edge delivers world-class performance and improved privacy. If you want to try out new features in Microsoft Edge, then join the Microsoft Edge Insider program and download the browser versions for the Canary, Dev, and Beta channels.

In the new build, the company offers to test an updated version of this window, which received a modern design in the style of Fluent Design, support for a dark theme, quick access to emoticons and improved performance.

Changes are available for the following languages/keyboards:
Japanese — Microsoft IME
Chinese (Simplified) — Microsoft Pinyin
Chinese (Simplified) — Microsoft Wubi
Chinese (Traditional) — Microsoft Bopomofo
Chinese (Traditional) — Microsoft ChangJie
Chinese (Traditional) — Microsoft Quick
Korean — Microsoft IME
Hindi — Hindi Phonetic
Bangla — Bangla Phonetic
Marathi — Marathi Phonetic
Telugu — Telugu Phonetic
Tamil — Tamil Phonetic
Kannada — Kannada Phonetic
Malayalam — Malayalam Phonetic
Gujarati — Gujarati Phonetic
Odia — Odia Phonetic
Punjabi — Punjabi Phonetic
