Innovations

Adding search to the default Apps page

Now all insiders on the Dev channel can search the list of file types, protocols, and applications when overriding the default values. Microsoft thanks all the insiders who shared their feedback on this change.

Accessing Linux file systems in Windows Subsystem for Linux

The new insider build brings with it the ability to connect and mount physical disks inside the WSL 2 distribution. This allows you to access file systems that are not natively supported by Windows (for example, ext4). So, if you are using multi-boot (dual boot) with Windows and Linux using different disks, you will now be able to access Linux files from Windows/ for more information, see the Microsoft blog.
