Microsoft Windows Insider Preview (19628 ) 19628.1.mn_release.200508-1414.

Good Morning, Friends! Microsoft has released a new pre-release version of Windows 10 under number 19628 for members of the Windows Insider Program who use the “Early access” channel (Fast Ring).

Full build number: 19628.1.mn_release.200508-1414.

Windows 10 Insider Preview 19624.1000

Windows 10 Insider Build 19628.1 or 10.0.19628.1 mn _release (mn = Manganese) from May 8. So there is no more rs_prerelease. Other bugs have also been fixed in this version.

Some Insiders may notice that the name of the branch has changed to MN_RELEASE since today’s build. As reported in December, assemblies from the Active Development Branch will be published on the “Early access” channel. In this case, the company practices the possibility of changing a branch that is considered an active development branch. This is a short-term change, so that builds of RS_PRERELEASE will be released again soon. As engineers work in different branches within the development cycle, it is possible that insiders will have to be moved between these branches in the future. MN_RELEASE builds do not apply to a particular version of Windows 10.

We remind you that on the early access channel builds are published, which can contain quite unpleasant errors. If you need more stability, we recommend switching to the slow (later access) or Release Preview channels.

But you should not forget that we are at the finish line and around the middle of June the cover is closed, and then this version ends up as ” Windows 10 2009 (RTM)”. We remember 19041, which also came in mid-December 2019 and has only received an update since then. But until then, we have a little more time before continuing with Windows 10 21h1 in “Active Development Builds of Windows 10”.

Changes and improvements

  • The initial support for DNS over HTTPS technology has been added so that you can reject the use of encryption when Windows executes DNS queries. Follow the instructions on the official Website to enable the feature, as it is disabled by default.
  • Of course, we will try to compile the ISO files again (as always), and then put the link here. But let’s move on to the changes in this version.

Known issues in Windows 10 19628

  • We are currently reviewing reports on the update process that gets stuck for long periods of time when trying to install a new build.
  • We are working to fix an issue for a future build of Insider Preview, where an aborted icon (only a rectangle) appears next to the page name in Settings > Privacy in the documents and downloads sections.
  • We are looking at reports about IIS configurations that were set to default settings after creating a new build. After successfully installing the new build, you must create a backup and restore the IIS configuration.
  • We study reports where taskbar preview thumbnails are not displayed sequentially (they show an empty area).
  • Microsoft is aware of the problem that voice output and NVDA users are using the new version of Chromium-based Microsoft Edge, which can cause difficulties in navigating and reading certain web content. Development teams work.

Fixed issues in Windows 10 19628
